My son Matthew turned 27 on June 23,2008. Passed away on June 27th 2008 four days past his 27th birthday as you can see. He told his wife that he was going to die before he turned 30. He left behind two adorable little boys. Due to drugs then I find out about 2 weeks ago about the 27 club. I also heard that the number 27=9 the 9 stages of life. When you reach 27 and you have accomplished everything in life you are going to you die . how do people come up with this stuff ? And is it true ?

I agree, the club doesn't sound like a fun place. We called the book we just created about the phenomenon The 27s, cause that's what they are. Did you know that more rock stars have died at that age than any other age group? 34 in all. Check out the book too if you're interested in the subject. It tells the history of rock & roll seen through the lives and legacies of those who departed at that eponymous age. Happy birthday Andrew and thanks for letting me post. -Eric
