version on the ridiculous
April 8, 2008
Seems as if the fates are against me. Sat down to do some work and Sky was showing a back to back marathon of all the Star Trek movies. Maybe I could do some jokes about Star Trek. Is it a bit lame to do material on a programme that hasn’t been on TV for near enough ten years?
Anyway seeing as I watched Star Trek, including movie number 7 Generations where Captain Kirk dies and because tonight I’m presenting the covers show ‘Like A Version’ (Geddit!!!) I thought I’d post easily the best cover version ever. This is William Shatner doing Pulp’s Commons People. Actually really rather good. Joe Jackson on backing vocal and Ben Folds at the keyboard.

Beam me up Scotty.. who in fact was from Aberdeen… and the local council could not be bothered celebrating that… what a shame… the AECC could be a great place for a trecker convention.
